HIAS 2014 will be held from 30 June – 2 July 2014 by the Department of Nuclear Physics at The Australian National University, Canberra.

It is anticipated that proceedings will be published by the EPJ Web of conferences, part of The European Physical Journal.

The Symposium program will include overview talks aimed at a wide-spectrum audience, and contributed presentations. Topics for 2014 will focus on:

  • Applications of isotopes in environmental processes, geology and resource management; tracking and tracing in process streams
  • Ionising radiation in Medical Science
  • Accelerator Mass Spectrometry studies in archaeology, astrophysics, nuclear physics and biomedical applications
  • Accelerator applications in Materials Science

A student workshop on current and future accelerator applications, will follow on from the conference from 2–3 July 2014. The workshop will include practical experience with the 14UD and RBS accelerators, detectors and analysis software, and is aimed at undergraduate and graduate level.
